Journal #3

For my topic proposal, I decided to write and research the production side of film. This will cover the preproduction, production, and postproduction. Not only will I look at these different steps, I am going to look at how they differ depending on the film. Feature length, independent, short films, and documentaries are the types of film I will cover. Each style has a different process, cast/crew, scheduling, and the length of each production phase. Covering each of these genres will allow me to not only learn more about film but also more on my major.

    You came up with some great things to look into and your proposal was sound. It should be a good selection for you since it is a part of your major. You have a good amount of sources; enjoy getting them all put together.
